Rumours of Course Director Going Over to the Dark Side

There have been some rumors of a course director under taking BSAC training in Horsea lake. This is catagorically denied. Said course director was off duty at the time.

Move Over Brad.........

Here comes Murrell.....

Some of you may have seen a BBC programme about Buster Crabb on the beeb the other night. You know the guy, good looking dashing hero type, tries to sort out the baddies, disappears into the murky depths never to be seen again. Loads of conspiracy theories and blatant lies from both sides. Some of the filming was actually done in the Solent and not from a british navy vessel but from our old mate Pete Street’s boat Trojan. But who was the equally dashing divemaster dressed in black and acting his heart out in the corner. None other than our own Chris Murrell. It was not quite up to RADA standards darling and he's not yet asked whether he should get an agent, and I note he's not been nominated for an oscar. But hey, it's early days. So when you next watch it on the inevitable series of repeats – watch for that fleeting moment of fame.

For those of you who might get him confused with Brad, here are some photos for comparison, uncanny huh?

Spring Ball Nearly Full

The Spring Ball is on 24 March and at the moment we have had 112 provisional bookings, so we suspect it is going to be over subscribed. There is a choice menu and we need payment as soon as possible so we can send you the options sheet. If you want to go and have not let us know yet, get in quick.

Another Cracking Club Night

In spite of howling gales outside, the January club night was extremely well attended with 86 people turning up. The food was superb and the raffle of unwanted Christmas Presents (which included 1/2 bottle of rum and an age discrimination handbook) raised £186 for charity. Not bad for a normal club night! Thanks to everyone for donating money and prizes. I will remind you again nearer the time, but please note that the next club night is on 1 February.

Another one goes to "The Dark Side"

Many congratulations to Felipe Meza, our club member from Chile, who recently passed his CCR course on the Evolution. Felipe, on a tour with the Chilean Navy and here for a couple of years, had previously qualified on the Mk16 but decided to move on to the Evolution for pleasure diving.
